Evening Prayer: When You Need Patience

Waiting is rarely peaceful. It stretches you, tests you, confronts you. But God shapes you in the slow moments more than in the fast ones.

Lord,

I don’t like waiting — You know that.
But I’m trying to trust Your timing.
Steady my spirit when impatience rises.

Teach me to rest instead of rush.
Teach me to hope instead of hurry.
Shape my heart quietly while I wait. Amen.

Delay isn’t denial — often it’s preparation.

I don’t lose anything by waiting.
I gain the person I become through it.
