Evening Prayer: Purpose in the Waiting

Waiting feels like nothing’s happening — but often, that’s when the deepest work takes place.

🕊️ Prayer of the Day

Lord, I’m tired of waiting.
I’ve prayed the same prayers, walked the same road,
and sometimes I wonder if You still hear me.
But I know Your timing is never late — just different.
Help me to believe that waiting is not wasted time, but preparation time.
Shape my heart to trust more deeply,
to hope more quietly,
and to rest in what I can’t yet see.
When the moment comes, let me be ready — not bitter. Amen.

💡 Why This Prayer Matters

Delay doesn’t mean denial. It’s divine alignment in progress.

🪞 Thoughts Before Sleep

Maybe silence isn’t God’s absence — maybe it’s His focus.
While I wait, He’s working.
While I pause, He’s preparing.
I can rest tonight knowing that what’s meant for me
won’t miss me when the time is right.

📖 Bible Story

Joseph spent years in prison before purpose found him in Pharaoh’s court.
The same story that looked delayed became the rescue plan for a nation (Genesis 41).
