Dear Friend,

What happened to you โ€” the trauma, the loss, the choices made by others โ€” does not define your value. You were worth everything before any of it, and you remain worth everything after. Your story shaped you, but it does not determine you.

๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ Prayer of the Day

Heavenly Father,

I have let what happened to me define me more than I've let You define me. The wounds I carry have become identities I've built my life around. I sometimes see myself through the lens of my worst experiences rather than through the lens of being loved and called by You.

Separate my experiences from my worth. Help me understand that what happened to me โ€” however painful, however unjust โ€” says nothing about my value to You. You made me before any of it occurred, and Your love for me was set before the foundations of the world. Let me see myself through that lens. In Jesus' name, Amen.

๐Ÿ’ก Why This Prayer Matters

Trauma has a way of convincing us that we are our wounds. But our identity in Christ is anchored in something prior to and greater than our experiences. You are not what happened to you. You are who God says you are.

๐Ÿชž Thoughts Before Sleep

How have past wounds shaped the way you see yourself? What is one truth about your identity in God that you need to speak over that narrative today?
