Release What’s No Longer Yours

Dear Friend,

Some things were only meant for a season — not a lifetime.

A role, a relationship, a dream, a version of you… it served its purpose.

But now it’s heavy because it’s expired.

God is calling you to let go, not out of loss, but to make room for what’s next.

This prayer helps you release with peace, not resistance.

Heavenly Father,

I’ve been holding on out of habit, fear, and memory.

But I trust You more than I trust my past.

Help me release what no longer belongs in my life — even if it once felt good, safe, or necessary.

Make room in my heart for what’s next.

Amen.

Because sometimes the past feels safer than the unknown — but growth happens in the letting go.

God isn’t asking you to erase the past.

He’s inviting you to stop living in it.

You don’t have to carry everything just because you once did.

Release makes space for restoration.

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!”

Why this verse matters:

God doesn’t recycle the past — He creates new beginnings.

But you have to stop staring at the closed door to notice the one He just opened.
