Dear Friend,

When you have walked through enough disappointment, hope can start to feel dangerous. You learn to lower your expectations so the fall doesn't hurt as much. But God keeps inviting you to hope again โ€” not naively, but with eyes fixed on a goodness that doesn't disappoint.

๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ Prayer of the Day

Heavenly Father,

I have protected myself from hoping too much. Past disappointments have taught me to expect less, to guard my heart, to keep my longings small. And while I understand the wisdom in that, I don't think it's the life You want for me.

Renew my ability to hope. Not a fragile wishful thinking, but a sturdy hope anchored in Your character. Remind me that the same God who has been faithful in my past is the same God who holds my future. There is goodness coming that I cannot yet see. Let me live today with that truth alive in me. In Jesus' name, Amen.

๐Ÿ’ก Why This Prayer Matters

Hope is not denial โ€” it is a choice to believe that God's goodness extends into your future. The alternative, a contracted life of lowered expectations, was never what He intended for you. You were made for holy anticipation.

๐Ÿชž Thoughts Before Sleep

What is one area of your life where you've stopped hoping? What would it mean to bring that specific hope back to God?
