Dear Friend,

Somewhere you received the message โ€” maybe from church, maybe from family, maybe from culture โ€” that faith requires having it together. But the God who called tax collectors and fishermen and deeply broken people to follow Him is not waiting for you to arrive at a polished version of yourself.

๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ Prayer of the Day

Heavenly Father,

I have been trying to bring You a put-together version of myself. To have the right words, the right attitude, the right faith. And underneath that effort is a belief that You prefer me collected over me honest.

But You called the desperate. You showed up for the bleeding, the grieving, the questioning, the outcast. You never required anyone to compose themselves before coming to You. So here I am โ€” not put together, not certain of everything, not as far along as I thought I'd be by now. Just here. And I believe that is enough. Thank You for that. In Jesus' name, Amen.

๐Ÿ’ก Why This Prayer Matters

The performance of spiritual composure keeps us from authentic encounter with God. He doesn't need our polish โ€” He wants our honesty. The most transformative moments in Scripture happen when people come to God exactly as they are.

๐Ÿชž Thoughts Before Sleep

In what ways do you perform for God โ€” presenting a version of yourself that is more composed than you really feel? What would raw honesty in prayer look like for you?
