Dear Friend,
Somewhere along the way, you learned that love had to be earned โ that you had to perform, achieve, or be a certain way to deserve it. Tonight, let's challenge that belief with the truth of a love that was never conditional on your worthiness.
๐๏ธ Prayer of the Day
Heavenly Father,
I struggle to feel worthy of love. Not just Your love โ anyone's love. I wonder if people would stay if they really knew me. I wonder if I am too broken, too messy, too much โ or not enough. And when I feel that way, I either push people away or exhaust myself trying to earn what I'm afraid to lose.
Speak to the place in me that doesn't feel worthy. Not with a list of my accomplishments, but with the truth that worth was never something I had to earn from You. You chose me before I had done anything to deserve it. You stay knowing everything. Let that be enough tonight. In Jesus' name, Amen.
๐ก Why This Prayer Matters
The belief that we are unworthy of love drives so much of our self-destruction and relational pain. But God's love is not a reward for worthiness โ it is the very thing that makes us worthy. You are loved first. Everything else flows from there.
๐ช Thoughts Before Sleep
When did you first learn that love had conditions? How has that shaped the way you relate to others and to God?
๐ Bible Story
"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." โ Romans 5:8
