Dear Friend,

You are hard on yourself for not being further along โ€” in your healing, your growth, your faith. But growth is slow by design. Tonight's prayer is for the patience to give yourself the same grace you'd give anyone else still in the process.

๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ Prayer of the Day

Heavenly Father,

I am not patient with myself. I want to be further along than I am โ€” more healed, more disciplined, more spiritually mature. And when I'm not where I want to be, I turn criticism inward rather than giving myself the grace I so freely extend to others.

Help me be patient with my own process. Remind me that You are patient with me โ€” that You don't rush the work You're doing, because the process is part of the formation. I am not behind. I am in the middle of becoming. Help me show up for that process with patience and even some tenderness toward who I am right now. In Jesus' name, Amen.

๐Ÿ’ก Why This Prayer Matters

We often give others the benefit of grace while withholding it from ourselves. But self-compassion is not self-indulgence โ€” it is the honest acknowledgment that we, like everyone else, are works in progress. And works in progress deserve patience.

๐Ÿชž Thoughts Before Sleep

In what area of your life are you most impatient with your own progress? What would you say to a close friend who was in the same place?
