Dear Friend,
You look back at a season of life โ when things were vibrant, full, hopeful โ and a quiet fear whispers that the best has already come and gone. Tonight's prayer is for the heart that needs to know: God is not finished with your story.
๐๏ธ Prayer of the Day
Heavenly Father,
I am afraid that my best days are behind me. That the season of flourishing I once knew was a peak I'll spend the rest of my life looking back at. I'm afraid that aging, mistakes, or circumstances have foreclosed on the future I once imagined.
Speak against that fear tonight. Remind me of the people in Scripture who did their greatest work in their later years. Remind me that You are the God of new beginnings โ that with You, there is always more to come. Don't let me settle into nostalgic grief over a past I can't return to while missing a future You're still building. In Jesus' name, Amen.
๐ก Why This Prayer Matters
The fear that our best days are behind us is one of the enemy's favorite lies. It causes us to stop investing, stop dreaming, stop believing. But a God who is eternal cannot be bound to any single season of our lives. There is always more.
๐ช Thoughts Before Sleep
What would you do in the next year if you genuinely believed God still had significant and beautiful things planned for you? What is stopping you?
