Lord,someone I love is weighing heavily on my heart tonight.
I wish I could protect them from every difficult thing.
I wish I could solve what hurts them and make their path easier.
But there are places my hands cannot reach.
So I place them into Yours.
Watch over them tonight.
Give them wisdom where they need direction, strength where they feel weak, and comfort where they are hurting.
And please calm my heart too.
Remind me that loving someone does not mean carrying everything for them.
You can care for them even while I sleep.
Amen.
