You’re Learning to Stay With Yourself

God Is Teaching You Inner Loyalty

For a long time, you learned how to leave yourself quietly.
Not physically — but emotionally.
You distracted.
You minimized.
You pushed feelings aside so you could keep functioning.

It worked.
But it came at a cost.

Now God is teaching you a different skill.
Not how to escape yourself —
but how to remain.

🕊️ Prayer of the Day

Lord,

I bring You the habit of leaving myself.
The moments when I disconnect from my emotions because they feel inconvenient,
the times I override my needs because I don’t want to deal with them,
the ways I learned to survive by becoming distant from my own inner world.

Help me relearn how to stay.
Stay present with what I feel.
Stay honest about what hurts.
Stay connected to what I need.

Teach me that remaining with myself is not self-indulgence —
it is stewardship.
It is care.
It is responsibility.

Help me become a safe place for my own heart.
Let my inner world feel inhabited, not abandoned.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
