Evening Prayer: Forgiveness that Heals

Forgiveness is hard, but carrying bitterness is heavier.

🕊️ Prayer of the Day

Lord, You forgave me freely — teach me to forgive others the same.
Release my grip on resentment.
Heal the wounds caused by words and actions.
Help me forgive, even when I don’t feel like it.
Let Your grace flow through me. Amen.

💡 Why This Prayer Matters

Forgiveness doesn’t excuse the hurt — it frees the heart from being chained to it.

🪞 Thoughts Before Sleep

Unforgiveness steals rest, replaying old wounds like broken records. Tonight I choose to lay them down. Forgiveness isn’t forgetting; it’s entrusting justice to God. My sleep can be peaceful when I stop carrying what He already carried on the cross.

📖 Bible Story

When Peter asked if forgiving seven times was enough, Jesus replied, “Seventy times seven.” Forgiveness is limitless because grace is limitless (Matthew 18:21–22, ESV).
