Night can magnify fear. Daniel’s night in the lions’ den reminds us that God’s presence is stronger than any threat around us.
🕊️ Prayer of the Day
Lord, tonight I bring You my fears.
The things that roar loud in my life, like lions circling me.
Give me Daniel’s faith to trust You in impossible places.
Shut the mouths of fear, doubt, and despair.
Let my enemies see that You are the living God who rescues.
Cover me with Your angels tonight, as You covered Daniel.
May I wake knowing I am safe in You. Amen.
💡 Why This Prayer Matters
Faith in God is not proven in safety, but in trial. Daniel’s trust showed that even in darkness, God reigns.
🪞 Thoughts Before Sleep
Fear says: “The lions will eat you.” Faith says: “God is with you in the den.”
📖 Bible Story
Daniel was thrown into the lions’ den for praying to God. The king, though distressed, sealed the den. At dawn, he found Daniel alive: “My God sent his angel and shut the lions’ mouths.” Daniel was lifted out unharmed, and the king declared that Daniel’s God is the living God forever. (Daniel 6:10–27, ESV).
