When the prophet Daniel refused to stop praying to God, jealous officials had him thrown into the lions’ den. The king was distressed, but powerless. That night, God sent His angel to shut the lions’ mouths. At dawn, Daniel was lifted out unharmed, and his enemies were thrown in instead.
