When Lazarus died, Mary and Martha mourned deeply, and many came to comfort them. Jesus arrived and saw their sorrow. Though He knew He would raise Lazarus, He was moved with compassion and wept with them. Then He stood before the tomb, prayed, and cried out, “Lazarus, come out!” The dead man came forth, alive, still wrapped in grave clothes.
