Evening Prayer: Not My Will

On the darkest night, Jesus prayed with tears. His prayer in Gethsemane shows us how to surrender fear and trust the Father’s will.

🕊️ Prayer of the Day

Father, tonight I bring You my deepest struggles.

Like Jesus, I sometimes ask, “Let this cup pass from me.”

Yet teach me to say, “Not my will, but Yours be done.”

Strengthen me when I feel weak and alone.

Remind me that You send angels to the weary.

Give me courage to obey, even when the path is hard.

Cover my night with surrender and peace. Amen.

💡 Why This Prayer Matters

Surrender is not weakness but strength. Jesus’ submission in Gethsemane became the doorway to our salvation.

🪞 Thoughts Before Sleep

Your hardest prayer may become your strongest obedience.

📖 Bible Story

In Gethsemane, Jesus told His disciples to watch and pray. He fell on His face: “My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.” He prayed a second and third time, surrendering to the Father’s plan. Then He rose to face the cross. (Matthew 26:36–46, ESV).
